Your changing collection

Mac / a real, connected screensaver

  1. Download and unzip the Mac pilot.
  2. Open The Future in Print.saver and approve installation.
  3. In System Settings → Wallpaper → Screen Saver → Custom, find Other → Show All → The Future in Print. Select it and click Done.

It rotates every 30 seconds and checks the collection every five minutes while active. The last complete edition stays available offline. No photo-folder setup, Python or scheduled helper is needed.

This is a locally signed pilot, awaiting Developer ID signing, Apple notarization and broader Mac testing. If macOS blocks it, use this browser display; no security settings need changing. Your existing idle, sleep and password settings still apply.

iPad / a Home Screen gallery

Open this page in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen, leave Open as Web App enabled if shown, and tap Add. Open its icon to start the live gallery.

The iPad edition runs while open. It does not replace the Lock Screen or start automatically when the iPad is idle. Stay-awake behaviour depends on the browser, iPadOS and system policy. Real-iPad testing is still needed.

An art app for your iPad

Your own little window onto the future.

  1. Open thefutureinprint.com/display/ in Safari on your iPad.
  2. Tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Leave Open as Web App enabled if shown, then tap Add.
  3. Open the new icon. The artwork cycles and checks for new editions while the app is open.

Works as a display app, not an iPad Lock Screen screensaver. After a successful online visit, supported browsers can retain an offline edition. iPad hardware testing is pending.
